Key Responsibilities
- Leverage cutting-edge data science applications to address business challenges.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with team members to identify and implement relevant analytical methodologies, generating actionable business insights.
- Comprehend the business context by analyzing existing data models in collaboration with senior client stakeholders to derive valuable insights.
- Utilize tools such as SQL to extract, transform, and organize data into structured datasets.
- Break down projects into specific tasks encompassing business analysis, data science, and engineering components.
- Lead teams of business analysts in the development of data-driven solutions.
- Design data analytics frameworks and solutions to tackle data-centric business challenges.
- Employ Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Operational Research techniques to construct data models.
- Demonstrate experience in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models at an enterprise scale.
- Develop and implement simulation, optimization, and scenario planning tools to facilitate decision-making processes.
- Exhibit the ability to analyze data, identify critical information, formulate hypotheses, and present recommendations to a wider audience.
- Maintain a consistent record of cross-functional collaboration to devise innovative solutions utilizing advanced analytics.
- Possess prior experience in synthesizing and presenting complex analyses to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver impactful presentations.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies is preferred.
- Implement appropriate quality checks to ensure the integrity of results.
Qualifications
- 12-14 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 8 years in business data analytics.
- Experience in the Retail or CPG sector is essential.
- A background in Supply Chain and experience in Demand, Supply, Shipping, and Inventory Planning is highly desirable.
- Experience with large datasets, particularly in business analysis contexts, is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with offshore teams is beneficial.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with experience in Supply Chain planning, E-commerce, or retail operations is preferred.
- Demonstrated technical and analytical proficiency with tools such as Python, SQL, Git, Power BI, PySpark, and MS Azure services.
- Ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders to translate business challenges into high-level analytical solutions.
- Capacity to work cross-functionally to create innovative solutions through advanced analytics.
- Prior experience in synthesizing and presenting complex analyses to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with global teams.
- Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms is essential.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems, such as Hadoop HDFS and Hive, is a plus.
