We are seeking a professional with a strong blend of business consulting skills and data analytics background. If you are passionate about working on complex business problems that can be solved using data, we would like to discuss this opportunity with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on cutting-edge applications of data science to solve business problems
  • Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights
  • Ability to understand the business context by discussing existing data models with senior client leaders and deriving useful business insights
  • Extract, transform, and organize data into datasets using tools like SQL
  • Ability to break down a project into specific tasks involving business analysis, data science, and engineering
  • Lead teams of business analysts to create data-driven solutions
  • Architect data analytics frameworks and solutions to solve data-driven business problems
  • Use Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Operational Research techniques to develop data models
  • Experienced in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models in production at an enterprise scale
  • Experienced in developing and running simulation, optimization, and what-if scenario planning tools to support decision-making
  • Demonstrable ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses, and make recommendations to a broader audience required
  • Consistent record of working cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
  • Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Familiarity with agile development methodology
  • Utilizing appropriate quality checks to ensure results are sound

Requirements:

  • 12-14 years of professional work experience with at least 8 years in business data analytics
  • Experience in Retail or Consumer Goods domain is required
  • Supply Chain background and prior experience in areas of Demand, Supply, Shipping, Inventory Planning, etc. is highly desirable
  • Experience working with large data sets is preferable (with an emphasis on business analysis problems)
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with experience in areas such as Supply chain planning and operations, E-commerce, and store retail experience preferred
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skill set to work with analytics toolkit such as:
  • Python, SQL, Git, Power BI
  • PySpark, MS Azure services
  • Ability to engage with executive/VP level stakeholders from the client's team to translate business problems to high-level analytics solution approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
  • Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Familiarity with agile development methodology
  • Strong project management and team management skills and ability to work with global teams
  • Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems such as Hadoop HDFS, and Hive is a plus
