Position Overview

  • Drive the development of new products while enhancing existing offerings.
  • Lead strategic initiatives within the team, focusing on the design and launch of innovative product lines.
  • Manage all aspects of product commercialization, including recipe formulation, processing plans, cost analysis, and compliance with nutritional claims.
  • Establish and implement streamlined workflows for product development, boosting team efficiency and nurturing a culture of creativity.
  • Oversee ingredient substitutions to ensure seamless operations and maintain business continuity amid supply chain challenges.
  • Provide expert technical insights on equipment capabilities and essential processing parameters to ensure superior product quality.
  • Manage budgeting for plant trials and initial production phases, ensuring financial prudence and optimal resource distribution.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall performance.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the Genesis program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the bakery sector, with a solid understanding of the baking process and ingredient functionality.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related field is required.
  • Current knowledge of nutrition and health trends.
  • Strong awareness of the preferences and needs of young families and children.
  • Ability to work both hands-on and in a leadership capacity to transform ideas into tangible products.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in developing critical paths in research and development to successfully bring products to market.
