Position Overview
- Drive the development of new product lines and enhance existing offerings.
- Lead strategic initiatives within the team, focusing on the introduction of groundbreaking products.
- Oversee all aspects of product commercialization, including formulation, recipe development, production planning, and cost management while ensuring compliance with nutritional and health standards.
- Establish and refine efficient workflows for product development, boosting team productivity and fostering a culture of creativity.
- Manage ingredient substitutions effectively, ensuring seamless operations and business continuity during supply chain challenges.
- Provide expert advice on equipment capabilities and processing parameters to ensure superior product quality.
- Supervise budgeting for plant trials and initial production phases, ensuring financial prudence and resource optimization.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at process optimization, waste reduction, and overall performance enhancement.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the Genesis program.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the bakery sector with a solid understanding of the baking process and ingredient functionality.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related field is required.
- Current knowledge of nutrition and health trends.
- Strong awareness of the preferences and needs of young families and children.
- Ability to work in a hands-on capacity as needed to transform ideas and concepts into tangible products.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in developing critical paths in research and development to successfully launch products.
