About the Role

As a Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our innovative product portfolio. You will lead the development of new products and enhance existing ones, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of young families and children.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the creation and launch of novel product lines, driving strategic projects within the team.
  • Oversee every stage of product development, from initial concept to market introduction, encompassing recipe formulation, processing methods, costing, and nutritional claims.
  • Implement efficient workflows for new product development, fostering a culture of innovation and maximizing team productivity.
  • Manage ingredient substitutions effectively, ensuring seamless operations and business continuity during supply chain disruptions.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on equipment capabilities and processing parameters to achieve optimal product quality.
  • Monitor budgets for plant trials and initial production runs, ensuring financial efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, minimize waste, and enhance overall performance.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in bakery operations with a minimum of 2 years of experience, coupled with a thorough understanding of the baking process and ingredient functionality.
  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in nutrition and health.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of young families' preferences and children's taste profiles.
  • Be capable of working both hands-on and strategically to bring product ideas to fruition.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Possess a proven track record of developing critical paths in R&D to successfully launch products.
