Job Summary

The Executive Director role at CLH Developmental Support Services is a strategic leadership position that requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in public sector management and government relations. Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership

Develop and implement an annual operational management plan that supports the strategic directions for the organization, in collaboration with the senior management team.

Financial Management

Oversee the budget preparation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource management, and present the budget to key stakeholders.

Human Resources Management

Accountable for the Agency's health regarding performance management, resource planning, training and development, succession planning, recruitment, and team building.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Ensure that internal policies and procedures are in place to support operational excellence, and compliance to legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations as well as minimizing risk.

Community Engagement and Representation

Represent the Agency in the community at public functions, conferences and committees, and develop and maintain communication with partner agencies and organizations in the community and sector.

Requirements
  1. Education

University degree in a related field (relevant postgraduate degree would be an asset).

Experience

Eight (8) years or more managerial/ supervisory experience, with public sector experience required and sector experience in the field of developmental services, mental health, child services preferred.

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills, experience in program planning, development and evaluation, change management and strong conflict resolution skills, ability to effectively relate to senior government and other officials, experience in budgeting and financial control and ability to apply this knowledge, and experience working in a unionized environment and in collective bargaining.

Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Travel

Occasional travel.

Work Environment

Work is hybrid – three (3) days a week in an office environment.
