Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning and Leadership
Develop and implement an annual operational management plan that supports the strategic directions for the organization, in collaboration with the senior management team.
Financial ManagementOversee the budget preparation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource management, and present the budget to key stakeholders.
Human Resources ManagementAccountable for the Agency's health regarding performance management, resource planning, training and development, succession planning, recruitment, and team building.
Quality Assurance and ComplianceEnsure that internal policies and procedures are in place to support operational excellence, and compliance to legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations as well as minimizing risk.
Community Engagement and RepresentationRepresent the Agency in the community at public functions, conferences and committees, and develop and maintain communication with partner agencies and organizations in the community and sector.
Requirements- Education
University degree in a related field (relevant postgraduate degree would be an asset).
ExperienceEight (8) years or more managerial/ supervisory experience, with public sector experience required and sector experience in the field of developmental services, mental health, child services preferred.
Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated leadership, organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills, experience in program planning, development and evaluation, change management and strong conflict resolution skills, ability to effectively relate to senior government and other officials, experience in budgeting and financial control and ability to apply this knowledge, and experience working in a unionized environment and in collective bargaining.
Work Environment- Work Schedule
Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
TravelOccasional travel.
Work EnvironmentWork is hybrid – three (3) days a week in an office environment.
