Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment and Maintenance

Perform intermediate-level hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related tasks on PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.

Software Installation and Support

Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless operation of our computer systems.

Deskside Support Services

Provide expert deskside support services, including hardware, software, and network-related issue troubleshooting and resolution.

Help Desk Support

Offer first-level Help Desk support to our employees, providing timely and effective solutions to their technical issues.

Network and Internetworking

Perform basic LAN and internetworking-related activities to ensure the integrity and security of our computer networks.

Bench Repairs and Maintenance

Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance tasks to ensure our computer systems are running at optimal levels.

Call Management and Communication

Respond to, update, and close calls from our National Dispatch/Call Management Center, and communicate effectively with customers to diagnose problems, establish ETAs, and determine parts requirements.

Requirements
  • Experience

At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities.

Skills and Certifications

Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills, A+ certification, and potentially other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and/or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).

Personal Qualities

A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks, exceptional customer service skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education

A minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
