Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment and Maintenance

Perform intermediate hardware deployment activities, including installations, moves, adds, and changes, for PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.

Software Installation and Support

Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless operation of our systems.

Deskside Support Services

Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.

Help Desk Support

Offer first-level technical support to our clients, addressing their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Network and Internetworking

Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities to ensure our systems are connected and functioning optimally.

Bench Repairs and Maintenance

Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance for hardware and software issues, ensuring our systems are in top working condition.

Call Management and Communication

Respond to and update calls from our National Dispatch/Call Management Center, communicating with clients to diagnose issues, establish ETAs, and obtain parts requirements.

Requirements
  • Field Service Experience

Have at least 1-2 years of experience in field service, with a focus on hardware deployment, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities.

Deskside Support Experience

Have at least 1-2 years of experience in deskside support, with a focus on hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Internetworking and Troubleshooting Skills

possess strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.

Certifications

Hold A+ certification and may have additional vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and/or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).

Soft Skills

Be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education

Hold a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
