Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Motor Systems Technician with experience in armature rewind to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Mechanical Shop Foreman and requires a strong understanding of electrical motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose problems in electric motor systems and perform repairs as needed.
  • Dismantle electric motors and other electrical and mechanical equipment for servicing, modification, or repair.
  • Armature winding and assembly of various types of coils for electric motors or transformers.
  • Troubleshoot and evaluate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Balance armatures or rotors and perform other tasks as required.
  • Weld and braze or solder electrical connections and align and adjust parts to close tolerances.
  • Complete relevant repair paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with armature rewind experience.
  • Experience with electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong standard for quality and safety.
  • Team-oriented approach and thought process.
