Electrical Motor Repair Technician

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is a leading solution provider for power management and electro-mechanical assets. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Motor Repair Technician to join our team in Edmonton.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and rewind various types of electro-mechanical equipment
  • Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment using various methods and tools
  • Disassemble and inspect equipment for damage and malfunctions
  • Prepare and document test results and repair quotes
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines and test panels
  • Clean and maintain equipment assemblies and requisition replacement parts as needed
  • Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Retest and reassemble equipment for proper output and operation
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Electric Motor Service Technician or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work with hand or power tools and understand electrical theory and the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills with attention to detail
