Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Motor Service Technician to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and rewind various types of electro-mechanical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment to identify problems and determine the best course of action.
  • Disassemble and inspect electrical equipment to identify damage or wear.
  • Reassemble and test electrical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines, test panels, and surge testers.
  • Document all work performed, including test results and repair procedures.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Electric Motor Service Technician or apprentice with at least 2 years of experience and enrolled in an apprenticeship program or 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand or power tools.
  • Understanding of electrical theory and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
