About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Motor Service Technician to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and rewind various types of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Disassemble and inspect electrical equipment to identify damage or malfunctions.
  • Prepare and document test results and repair quotes.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines and test panels.
  • Clean and maintain electrical equipment assemblies.
  • Measure and requisition replacement parts as needed.
  • Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electrical assemblies.
  • Test and reassemble electrical equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Electric Motor Service Technician or apprentice with at least 2 years of experience and enrolled in an apprenticeship program or 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand or power tools.
  • Understanding of electrical theory and the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.
