Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Motor Systems Technician with armature rewind experience to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

Reports to: Mechanical Shop Foreman

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours

Location: Edmonton, AB

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

Wage: $58.16 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose complex problems in electrical motor systems.
  • Dismantle and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, generators, and transformers.
  • Armature winding and rewinding services.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluating electrical equipment.
  • Wind and assemble various types of coils for electric motors or transformers.
  • Balance armatures or rotors.
  • Weld and braze or solder electrical connections.
  • Align and adjust parts to close tolerances in order to reassemble items.
  • Complete relevant repair paperwork.
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson electric motor systems technician with armature rewind experience.
  • Experience with electrical motor repair, including all aspects of the trade.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong standard for quality and safety.
  • Team-oriented approach and thought process.
