Records Management Specialist Job Description

  • Draft and review correspondence, forms, and various documents
  • Handle and direct telephone or electronic inquiries
  • Compile reports from both manual and electronic records, inventories, and databases
  • Organize, process, and validate applications, receipts, and other documentation
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail through manual or electronic means
  • Prepare and structure document presentations
  • Offer general information to clients and the public
  • Photocopy and assemble documents for distribution, mailing, and filing
  • Order and maintain office supplies and inventory
  • Organize materials in storage areas
  • Label files in accordance with retention and disposal policies
  • Retrieve and remove requested files
  • Perform clerical tasks, including maintaining filing and record systemsTechnical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS WindowsSpecialization Areas
  • Reports, forms and records, financial statements, charts, tables, graphs, and correspondenceSecurity Requirements
