Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Knowledge & Records Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our records and knowledge assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement records management policies, procedures, and standards that align with Government of Alberta's information management framework.
  • Provide expert advice on knowledge management best practices and strategies to support business operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement information management systems, ensuring compliance with Government of Alberta's IT standards and security protocols.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in records and knowledge management.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with records management policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in records and knowledge management, and provide recommendations for implementation.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of records and information management principles, policies, procedures, standards, best practices, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong business analysis and negotiating skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff and external resources.
