Tenure-Stream Professorship in Emerging Technologies in Theatre and Performance

The University of Toronto's Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies invites applications for a full-time tenure-stream professorship in Emerging Technologies in Theatre and Performance. This position is available at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an expected start date of July 1, 2025, or shortly thereafter.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the University of Toronto's leadership in interdisciplinary research and teaching at the intersection of technology and theatre/performance.
- Participate in academic mentorship in the Centre and academic leadership in the BMO Lab.
- Collaborate in exploring the conceptualization, application, experimentation, and implications of emerging technologies through the lens of performance.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to their area of specialization, as well as core curricular courses in theatre and performance history, theory, and practice.
- PhD degree in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies or a related area.
- Established record of excellence in research and teaching.
- International reputation and a competitive, externally funded research program.
- Strong teaching statement, sample course materials, and teaching evaluations.
- Recent publication and research statement outlining current and future research interests.
