About the Opportunity

The University of Toronto's Faculty of Law invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Law, AI and Technology. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding scholar to join our vibrant community of researchers and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative and independent research in Law, AI and Technology, with a focus on emerging technologies such as robotics, regulation of AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Law, AI and Technology, and contribute to the development of new courses and programs.
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the growth of the Faculty's research and teaching programs.
  • Participate in departmental and faculty service, including committee work and outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Law or a related field, with a strong background in Law, AI and Technology.
  • Excellent research and teaching skills, with a proven track record of publications in top-ranked journals and a strong teaching dossier.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from academia, industry, and government.
