Job Opportunity:
The University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Emerging Technologies in Theatre and Performance at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. This appointment is part of the Faculty of Arts and Science.
About the Position:
We are seeking a leading scholar with an established program of research in performance and technology. The successful candidate will have a critical curiosity about the possibilities, practices, and implications of emerging technologies and evolving conceptions of theatre and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Contribute to the development of the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies
- Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Engage in research and scholarship in the field of performance and technology
- Participate in departmental and faculty service
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- A PhD in a relevant field
- An established program of research in performance and technology
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in critical methodologies, theory, and practice informed by Indigenous, post-colonial, critical race, feminist, or queer thought
- A commitment to anti-racist and equity-based research and pedagogy
