**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Business Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and development, identifying new opportunities, and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including large and small contracts.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and clients.
  4. Develop and manage capture plans to secure new business opportunities.
  5. Lead proposal teams to develop and submit winning proposals.
  6. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in the defense or government contracting industry.
  2. Proven track record of success in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  3. Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working with government agencies, including the Department of National Defence.
  2. Knowledge of the defense industry and its key players.
  3. Ability to develop and manage complex capture plans.
  4. Experience leading proposal teams and developing winning proposals.
