SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

N. Harris Computer Corporation - CAD is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate for this position should possess or be in the process of obtaining their professional accounting designation, along with progressive experience in accounting, a keen analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role within the finance team at N. Harris. Your contributions will be essential in delivering financial support and analysis that directly influences the success of a Business Unit. Reporting to the Controller, your responsibilities will include executing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, as well as engaging in various ad hoc projects. While the size of the team may vary by business unit, you will regularly collaborate with fellow Analysts, other finance team members, and senior leadership within the business unit.

This role is designed to be remote; however, N. Harris has multiple offices across North America for candidates who prefer a permanent or hybrid office environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting technical accounting analyses in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Key tasks include completing month-end and quarter-end closing processes, analyzing results, preparing journal entries, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations, along with various reporting deliverables for senior leadership. Establishing and maintaining relationships while delivering exceptional customer service to the business unit(s). Assisting business unit(s) in sustaining an accurate financial forecast. Preparing audit requests and addressing inquiries during quarterly reviews and the interim and year-end audit processes. Leading and/or supporting special ad hoc projects that impact various stakeholders within the organization. Assisting with due diligence and the integration of new acquisitions into the finance department.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and/or accounting. CPA member/student (or member/student of a comparable professional accounting body). Strong communication skills with experience working effectively with all levels of management. A solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement. Excellent analytical abilities with a strong attention to detail.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
