N. Harris Computer Corporation - CAD is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate for this position should have achieved or be in the process of obtaining their professional accounting designation; possess progressive accounting experience; demonstrate a strong analytical mindset; exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within the finance team at N. Harris. You will be expected to deliver financial support and analysis that will significantly influence the success of a Business Unit. Reporting directly to the Controller, your responsibilities will include executing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, along with various ad hoc projects. While the size of the team may vary by business unit, you will regularly collaborate with fellow Analysts, other finance team members, and the senior leadership team of the business unit.
This role is designed to be remote; however, N. Harris has multiple offices across North America for candidates who prefer to work from an office setting, either full-time or in a hybrid model.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducting technical accounting analyses in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Key tasks include completing month-end and quarter-end closing processes, analyzing results, preparing journal entries, and performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations, along with various reporting deliverables for senior leadership. Establishing and maintaining relationships while providing exceptional customer service to the business unit(s). Assisting business unit(s) in maintaining accurate forecasts. Preparing audit requests and addressing inquiries during quarterly reviews and interim and year-end audits. Leading and/or supporting special ad hoc projects that affect various stakeholders within the organization. Assisting with due diligence and the integration of new acquisitions into the finance department.QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and/or accounting. CPA member/student (or member/student of a comparable professional accounting organization). Strong communication skills with experience engaging with all levels of management. A solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement. Excellent analytical abilities coupled with a keen attention to detail.PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
