About the Role:
The Financial Analyst - Telecom position at President's Choice Financial is a key role in the financial support and development of the various Business units within our organization. As a Financial Analyst, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis. You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of both Telecom and Gift Cards business, providing comprehensive analysis, and reporting to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting support.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial performance.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision making.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review, including executive summaries and presentations.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.
- Support the annual budgeting process by providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of Telecom and Gift Card business, financial statements, and key performance metrics.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
