About the Client

Vaco Recruiter Services is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst.

The Lead Financial Analyst will be a vital contributor to the finance and accounting division of the organization. This position will report directly to the Manager of Securitization and will oversee various securitization initiatives along with financial reporting and analytical tasks.

About the Opportunity

  • Manage comprehensive accounting processes in accordance with ASPE and IFRS standards, including:
    • Preparation or review of monthly journal entries and accompanying schedules
    • Reconciliation of significant balance sheet and income statement accounts
    • Reconciliation of clearing accounts and resolution of discrepancies
    • Annual financial statement note disclosures
  • Generate monthly reports on defaults, delinquencies, and early terminations
  • Compile monthly Servicer/Funder reports for the securitized portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness while preparing analytical insights
  • Prepare tranches for securitization and coordinate with Funders to finalize transactions
  • Proactively identify and resolve underlying issues encountered during task performance and analytical reviews, communicating findings to management
  • Assist in the implementation of automation and efficiency enhancement initiatives
  • Support annual audits and funder site audits by preparing and maintaining necessary schedules
  • Engage in additional projects, responsibilities, and tasks as assigned

About You

  • CPA or equivalent designation is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector
  • Experience in full cycle accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 ERP or similar accounting software is advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems with agility and analytical thinking
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive and results-driven attitude
