About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lodging House Manager to join our team at JEMCORP Ltd. as a key member of our resort operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Supervise Staff

Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members in various areas of responsibility, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent performance and customer satisfaction.

Negotiate with Suppliers

Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies, ensuring the best possible prices and quality.

Conduct Training Sessions

Conduct training sessions for staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.

Prepare Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses

Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring the resort operates within budget and meets financial targets.

Prepare Marketing Plans

Prepare marketing plans to promote the resort and attract new customers, ensuring a strong online presence and effective marketing campaigns.

Implement Marketing Activities

Implement marketing activities, including social media marketing, email marketing, and event marketing, to engage with customers and promote the resort.

Arrange for and Oversee Maintenance Activities

Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring the resort's facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.

Enforce Policies and Procedures

Enforce policies and procedures, ensuring staff members adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns

Address customers' complaints or concerns, ensuring excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs

Assist clients/guests with special needs, ensuring their requirements are met and they have an excellent experience at the resort.

Develop and Implement Business Plans

Develop and implement business plans, ensuring the resort operates efficiently and effectively, and meets financial targets.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff members, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing overtime.

Manage Events

Manage events, including weddings, conferences, and other functions, ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth event experience.

Organize and Maintain Inventory

Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring the resort has the necessary supplies and materials to operate efficiently.

Requirements
  • Valid Driver's Licence

A valid driver's licence is required, as the resort is located in a rural area and transportation is not readily available.

Public Transportation is Not Available

Public transportation is not available, so a reliable vehicle is essential for commuting to and from work.

Fast-Paced Environment

The resort operates in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a large workload.

Work Under Pressure

Staff members must be able to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a timely and efficient manner.

Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is essential, as staff members must ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of their work.

Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking

The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as staff members must be able to move around the resort and perform tasks in different areas.

Overtime Required

Overtime may be required, as the resort operates 24/7 and staff members must be available to work flexible hours.
