Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
- Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that kitchen operations run efficiently.
- Quality and Service
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that customer complaints are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
- Operations and Maintenance
- Ensure that kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order, and that all safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, and ensure that all food is stored and handled safely.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work closely with other departments, including front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless service and high standards of quality.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned with kitchen operations.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
- Work Environment
