Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for leading our store team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our valued clients, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a high-performing team of retail sales associates, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure their success.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Manage the visual merchandising and inventory levels of the store, ensuring that our products are displayed in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Financial Management: Analyze sales data and manage store budgets to ensure that we are meeting our financial targets.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that the store is secure and safe for customers and employees, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints in a professional manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
