Job Summary

The Vernon Community Care Health Centre is seeking a skilled Administrative Services Assistant Supervisor to join their team in Vernon, B.C.

This role provides confidential administrative support to senior staff and supervises administrative staff throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor assignments/workflow, performing confidential secretarial and reception duties for senior staff
  • Support senior staff with agency contracts, including typing, revising, editing, and reformatting contract documents
  • Track documents, arrange payments, and manage contracts
  • Arrange and participate in working groups, assist with recruitment, selection, and orientation of staff
  • Monitor expenditures, receive, record, check, and balance cash transactions, petty cash, and bank deposits
  • Coordinate office/workspace moves and interact with clients who may be confused, anxious, angry, or difficult

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Graduation from a recognized Office Administration Certificate Program, Plus
  • Completion of a typing test at 40 wpm dated within the past 48 months and issued from a recognized institution only
  • Current valid BC Driver's License
  • Three (3) years related administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
