About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Podollan Grande Prairie Inn & Spa Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our guests
    • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional service standards
    • Train and develop staff to improve skills and knowledge
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety
    • Implement and maintain food safety protocols to prevent contamination and foodborne illness
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize kitchen operations
    • Source and purchase ingredients and supplies to meet menu requirements
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a positive dining experience
    • Respond to guest feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a similar environment
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven leadership and management skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of menu planning and execution
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
