Audit Director, Commercial Banking

We are seeking a seasoned Audit Director to lead our Credit Audit team in Commercial Banking. As a key member of our Audit leadership, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality audits, providing expert advice to executive leaders, and driving business growth through strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit engagements to critically assess management and internal control processes, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Provide expert advice to executive leaders on risk, governance, and internal controls, leveraging your extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain good working relations with key stakeholders, including regulators, and ensure effective communication of audit findings and recommendations.
- Identify and evaluate the impact of new and emerging technology and technology risk on the organization's processes and control environment.
- Conduct advisory engagements and other engagements as required, utilizing data analytics to improve quality and efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain professional audit qualifications in line with industry standards, staying up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory expectations.
- Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in Audit Leadership for Credit and Commercial Banking, with a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional designations or business designations such as CIA, CPA-Audit.
- Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge, including Commercial, Capital Markets, and Commercial Lending Limits.
- Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.
