Senior Credit Audit Manager, Commercial Banking

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Credit Audit Manager to join our Commercial Banking team at BMO. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex credit audit engagements, providing expert advice to executive leaders, and ensuring the effective implementation of audit recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute credit audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting
- Provide expert advice to executive leaders on credit risk management, governance, and internal controls
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the commercial banking business, including credit risk management, lending practices, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate credit risk
- Develop and implement audit recommendations to improve credit risk management and internal controls
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in credit risk management
- Lead and participate in audit committees and task forces as required
- 10+ years of experience in audit leadership, with a focus on credit and commercial banking
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or accounting
- Professional designations, such as CIA or CPA-Audit
- Strong technical skills, including credit risk management, lending practices, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
