Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at our Tim Hortons location. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking goods to the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake goods, including pastries, bread, and other baked products
  • Restock pastry shelves and maintain a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods
  • Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation, including consideration of special dietary constraints
  • Operate oven, egg cooker, and other equipment to prepare baked products
  • Prepare toppings, ingredients, and required products for all baked goods and food items
  • Comply with food hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Complete training modules and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support an environment that strives to create exceptional culinary experiences

Requirements

  • Available to work afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends
  • Available to work early morning starting shifts (e.g. 5 am start)
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced food service environment, preferably in a Tim Hortons or similar establishment
  • Able to communicate well in written and verbal English
  • Experience as a baker or other food preparation environment
  • Experience as a cashier and cash handling
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in cold environments (e.g. fridge, freezer)
  • FoodSafe Level I certification is a minimum; SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset
