Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team at New Castle Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality products and services to support our hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Sourcing: Research and negotiate prices with vendors to ensure the best value for our hotel. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods and supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Inspect all deliveries to ensure compliance with order specifications and quality standards. Participate in the monthly inventory process to identify and address any discrepancies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with hotel departments to understand their needs and preferences. Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement and inventory management.
- Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the hospitality industry. College degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management, and quality control. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid ServeSafe and Food Handlers certificates required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and in excess of 20 pounds constantly. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, stretch, twist, or reach, and work in variable temperatures and noise levels.
