Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for supporting our core business initiatives and collaborating with offshore and onshore personnel to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of innovative solutions to client problems, aligning with our core business initiatives;
  • Ensure successful project completion within budgeted time and cost constraints, adhering to company policies;
  • Lead regional efforts to develop cutting-edge solutions to technical challenges;
  • Contribute to business development and tendering activities as required;
  • Promote a safe, practical, cost-effective, and cutting-edge approach to project technical challenges;
  • Develop and maintain a strong HSEQ culture and system, minimizing risk to personnel, the environment, and equipment;
  • Promote the company's organizational culture, values, and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory bodies;
  • Encourage open communication between engineering and operations to foster a healthy and productive culture;
  • Meet Regional and Departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards;
  • Participate in offshore work and other engineering duties as directed by third parties in the case of secondments.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an applicable engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean & Naval Architecture, Structural, or equivalent);
  • Basic Survival Training (BST) would be an asset for offshore work;
  • Professional Engineering license;
  • 5-10 years' experience in subsea project/installation engineering;
  • Familiarity with procedural writing for offshore ROV construction works;
  • Experience in supervising equipment System Integration Testing and functionality testing;
  • Experience in project vessel mobilizations and demobilizations;
  • Offshore field experience related to subsea infrastructure installation and decommissioning;
  • Knowledge of specialized software (e.g., Ansys/Inventor, Orcaflex);
  • Knowledge of the marine environment and technical challenges associated with executing projects in these conditions;
  • Knowledge of subsea infrastructure components, deployment/recovery methodologies, equipment handling restrictions, testing requirements, etc.;
  • Knowledge of DNV lifting and underwater deployment/recovery codes;
  • Analytical and technical capabilities for lowering analyses and rigging design;
  • General technical knowledge of sea fastening design and analysis;
  • General knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, best practices, and design codes;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Willingness to perform work required to complete projects on time while meeting client expectations;
  • Willingness to share experiences and teach critical skills/tasks to other team members;
  • Professional demeanor to promote company interests.
