The Portfolio Strategy Manager is responsible for overseeing all product-related initiatives within a diverse portfolio valued at over $40 million. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration, encompassing activities such as forecasting, risk assessment, supply chain management, and product communications. The manager will strive to creatively address customer needs and enhance operational efficiencies to support the development of groundbreaking therapies for the organization. The portfolio includes a mix of established products, including both generic and non-generic offerings, as well as authorized-generic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance growth and optimize profitability by creatively addressing patient needs; manage P&L, refine pricing strategies, and improve cash flow for foundational assets.
  • Collaborate with global and local partners to spearhead extensive cross-functional teams in divestment and product pruning initiatives.
  • Formulate and implement the portfolio strategy, including resource allocation, go-to-market plans, partnerships, divestment strategies, and pricing adjustments; continuously monitor and refine strategies for the product portfolio.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams in inventory management, regulatory compliance, pricing, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to ensure patient supply, contribute to forecasting efforts, and communicate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Identify innovative methods to engage customers and leverage synergies across omnichannel strategies in General Medicines.
  • Oversee all partner relationships, including conducting business reviews, resolving issues, and managing contracts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Health Sciences, or Finance.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and divestment strategies; partnerships experience is a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years of consistent brand management experience throughout all stages of the product lifecycle, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proficient project management skills with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, including experience in contracting and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with digital and omnichannel marketing, including proficiency in various digital transformation platforms and tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks, market access, pricing strategies, supply chain dynamics, quality assurance, and pharmacovigilance.
  • Strong financial acumen, including modeling, valuation, and P&L management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to construct compelling business cases.
  • Proven leadership abilities, capable of motivating and uniting cross-functional teams without direct authority, exhibiting a high level of drive, entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and resilience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on active listening, self-awareness, and receptiveness to feedback. Proficiency in English is required; French is an asset.
