About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Concept Plastics Limited. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and equipment in our plastic processing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Material Handling: Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity, and unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Packaging and Shipping: Pack items for shipping and distribution, ensuring they are properly labeled and prepared for transport.
  • Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness, and adjust calender rollers for production line changes.
  • Extrusion and Moulding: Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die, and set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Quality Assurance: Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts to ensure they meet our quality standards.
Requirements
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to read and write in English.
  • Work Schedule: 32 hours per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
