As a Site Reliability Engineer, your role will be pivotal in assisting IT teams to establish the essential frameworks necessary for enhancing and sustaining the highest levels of resilience and availability in IT services.

  • Advocate for best practices in resilience and stability across application and infrastructure teams.
  • Analyze critical system flows to identify potential single points of failure.
  • Assist IT teams in refining their documentation and architectural diagrams to incorporate resilience and stability considerations.
  • Engage in application development and automation as required.
  • Encourage and expand the automation of IT processes to minimize human error.
  • Conduct comprehensive stability assessments and provide recommendations to enhance system performance and resilience.
  • Promote effective monitoring practices and assist IT teams in implementing key resilience and stability metrics.
  • Support IT teams during significant events that affect system resilience.

Your Team

Within the IT Delivery sector, specifically in Commercial Banking and Insurance, you will collaborate with a team of 8 colleagues, reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital. Our team is distinguished by its commitment to flexibility and quality of life, offering a hybrid work environment and adaptable working hours.

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing online services within a complex environment that includes both modern and legacy technologies.
  • Proven experience in designing complex systems that support thousands of concurrent users.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, monitoring, and observability.
  • Familiarity with various database technologies, including MongoDB, Redis, and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including service development, deployment, automation, and operations.
  • Proficient in conducting infrastructure capacity analysis (CPU, Memory, Latency, IO, Bandwidth, etc.).
  • Availability for 24/7 support on a rotating basis.

Language Proficiency:

  • French: Required for frequent discussions with service providers or partners who may not speak English.
