In this role, you will collaborate with a team focused on addressing critical areas such as cloud infrastructure, reliability, incident management, data analytics, cost management, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and sustain resilient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing advanced cloud-native technologies like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
  • Create and oversee CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless deployment and release processes using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Engage closely with development teams to establish monitoring tools and practices that ensure software health in production, while defining and tracking reliability metrics (SLI, SLO) and managing error budgets.
  • Develop platform solutions and implement software engineering principles to enhance software reliability and expedite delivery timelines.
  • Assist in the incident management process and perform thorough post-mortem analyses to mitigate future disruptions.
  • Guide junior SREs and developers by sharing best practices in cloud architecture, data management, and software development methodologies.
  • Implement infrastructure changes through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for the integration of new tools and practices to elevate product quality and team productivity.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems administration, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
  • Understanding of network protocols and IP networking, with experience in network troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in at least one programming language such as Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure in cloud environments, including Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and logging solutions (e.g., ELK stack).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and embracing new challenges.
