About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Digital Branch SRE organization at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) solutions for our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SRE solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product management, to identify and prioritize SRE initiatives.
  • Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure real-time visibility into application performance.
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve production issues, and implement changes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for adoption and integration into our SRE practice.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
