POSITION SUMMARY
The Real Estate and Development Branch is seeking a skilled Real Estate Advisor specializing in Asset Management to contribute to our mission of excellence.

In this role, you will offer expert knowledge in the domain of strategic portfolio asset management and oversee various real estate functions related to Built Asset Management. Your responsibilities will include conducting diverse analyses, inspections, and reporting that align with real estate strategies supporting the NCC's Real Estate and Development portfolio. Furthermore, you will lead internal teams in the planning, design, and execution of portfolio goals associated with the strategic management of properties. Additionally, as a Real Estate Advisor, you will guide a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the achievement of the NCC's major project objectives.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus on real estate asset management, engineering, building science, or a relevant combination of education, training, and experience.

EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in providing real estate advisory services, including:

• Leading and overseeing capital planning and asset management strategies;

• Coordinating and managing inspection initiatives for built assets;

• Advising senior management on the prioritization of capital budgets concerning built assets.

KNOWLEDGE

• Understanding of principles and theories related to asset management, maintenance, and investment analysis to support sustainable asset management and long-term capital planning.

• Familiarity with project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

SKILLS

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while handling various projects simultaneously.

• Capacity to think strategically, evaluate complex information and situations, develop recommendations and solutions, and negotiate and implement future actions.

• Proficiency in providing project leadership and management activities.

COMPETENCIES

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

• Relevant industry certifications in asset management.

• Experience with Yardi and VTS software.

• Functional knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and the real estate sector.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily based in a controlled office setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.

• Regular travel to and inspection of properties managed by the NCC.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

• Eligibility to obtain Secret security clearance.

• Bilingual proficiency: BBB.

• Valid unrestricted driver's license (or provincial equivalent).
