Nurse Care Specialist

CareCorp Seniors Services is a trusted organization that provides exceptional healthcare services to long-term care and assisted living facilities across BC. We are seeking a compassionate and caring Nurse Care Specialist to join our team in one of our beautiful long-term care facilities in Burnaby, BC.
Job Summary:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of residents to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality care and services are provided to residents.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on health-related topics and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care experience for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their strengths and limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
- Administer medications and provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality care and services are provided to residents.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on health-related topics and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care experience for residents.
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
- Graduate of a recognized school of nursing.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cultural education and experience are preferred.
- Certificate of Geriatric Nursing or previous experience is preferred.
- 1 year RN experience in Canada is preferred.
