About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Brar Sweets & Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Inventory Management

Develop and implement menu plans to increase sales and profitability, while maintaining high-quality standards. Manage inventory levels, including food, beverages, and supplies, to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Staff Supervision and Training

Supervise and train a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation. Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance and address any issues.

Cash Handling and Financial Management

Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers, processing credit card transactions, and reconciling daily sales. Prepare and submit financial reports to management, including sales reports, inventory reports, and labor reports.

Customer Service and Relations

Ensure exceptional customer service by responding to customer complaints, resolving issues promptly, and providing a positive dining experience. Foster strong relationships with regular customers and build a loyal customer base.

Marketing and Promotions

Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and drive customer engagement. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, and in-restaurant promotions.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety, sanitation, and employee safety. Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset
