About Nakwon Korean Restaurant

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, from supervising staff to maintaining high-quality food and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare and submit reports on food quality, service standards, and staff performance.
  • Team Leadership
    • Establish work schedules and delegate tasks to ensure efficient team performance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team productivity and morale.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Operate point-of-sale systems and other technology to manage restaurant operations.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, combining sitting, standing, and walking to meet the demands of the restaurant.
    • Stand for extended periods, maintaining a high level of energy and focus.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate client-focused and efficient interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with staff and customers.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Client-focused and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide diversity and cross-cultural training
  • Ability to provide cultural competency training and awareness
