Transportation Operations Manager

SHIPCART DISTRIBUTION SERVICES is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the efficiency of our transportation operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators to ensure our transportation department is meeting its goals and objectives.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to optimize our transportation operations, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles and goods.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Develop and implement plans to adapt to changes in schedules and policies, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of our transportation department.
- Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources they need to succeed.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation department, including budgeting and cost control.
- Arrange for Shipping Documentation and Tracking: Ensure all necessary shipping documentation is in place and that goods are properly tracked and traced.
- Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure our transportation operations comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Negotiate for Services and Rates: Negotiate with service providers to secure the best rates and services for our transportation needs.
- Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Oversee Transportation Service Rates and Revenue: Monitor and manage transportation service rates and revenue, ensuring optimal returns for our business.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure our inventory is properly organized and maintained, including record-keeping and tracking.
- Record Cargo Information: Record and track cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 hours per week
