Position Overview

The role of a Food Service Supervisor is essential in ensuring that the culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves overseeing the preparation and presentation of food in a variety of settings, including coffee shops and other dining establishments.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Work Environment

The work environment can be fast-paced and noisy, requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef.
  • Possess knowledge of the culinary genres relevant to the establishment.
  • Oversee the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
Supervision

This position involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:
