Culinary Operations Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Partner to join our Support Services Office team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our long-term care homes with dietary and dining services, ensuring all practices are in keeping with relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Resident Experience, Clinical, Building Services, and Nutrition Care Partners to ensure seamless delivery of dietary and dining services.
- Provide leadership and direction to Directors of Dietary Service and Food Service Supervisors, ensuring the consistent application of Support Services Policies and Procedures.
- Support the development of home-specific policies and ensure overall compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Participate in the recruitment process to ensure highly skilled and effective selection, onboarding, orientation, and evaluation of new managers.
- Organize and lead networking, meetings, and communications with Directors of Dietary Services and Food Service Supervisors.
- Evaluate all aspects of non-clinical dietary and dining services, applying a continuous quality improvement approach.
- Identify areas of risk related to dietary and dining services and collaborate with homes to develop plans to mitigate and minimize risk.
- Provide feedback to the Executive Director on the performance of Directors of Dietary Services and Food Service Supervisors.
- Review staffing requirements and qualifications in all homes to ensure compliance and resident safety.
- Ensure an effective menu management system that meets resident care needs, developing and analyzing menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Nutrition Care Partner.
- Champion and lead programs in dining to promote excellent customer service and efforts to improve resident satisfaction.
- Provide input on and monitor all PRD dietary costs in preparation of operating budgets for each home, including staffing complement and supplies.
- Monitor food costs and identify mechanisms to reduce food costs and facilitate consistency in food ordering/inventory LTC Homes.
- Provide recommendations and input on costing for all capital kitchen equipment.
- Provide recommendations and subject matter expertise on the purchases, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Review financial statements of assigned homes and assist managers to achieve financial targets.
- Work in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Assist Dietary leaders in responding to Ministry of Health compliance review.
- Post-Grad Diploma or Degree in food, culinary, and/or beverage management program.
- Experience in the management of dietary and dining services in a Long Term Care or Hospital setting.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Food Premises Regulations, FLTCA, CCHSA/ORCA, and all applicable BC Regulations.
- Proven communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven writing skills and experience with policy and procedure development.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Membership in the Canadian and Ontario Society of Nutrition Management.
