About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ice Cream Processing Assistant Supervisor to join our team at the London Ice Cream Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth production of our high-quality ice cream products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training
    • Train and develop the skills of production staff to ensure they have the knowledge and expertise required to perform their duties effectively.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Production Planning and Control
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Monitor and control production processes to ensure high-quality products are produced consistently.
  • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet our high standards.
    • Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of raw materials and finished goods.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing health and safety procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety audits to identify and address any hazards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g. food science, business administration).
    • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced production environment.
