LEAD DISABILITY INCLUSIVE SOCIETY BC is seeking a highly skilled Major Community Projects Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the delivery of social and community service programs, planning and organizing the delivery of social and community service programs, and managing the operations and activities of social and community centres, correctional facilities, and detention centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the delivery of social and community service programs to ensure they meet the needs of the community.
- Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs, including hiring and training staff, administering programs, and managing budgets.
- Manage the operations and activities of social and community centres, correctional facilities, and detention centres, including supervising staff and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Participate in policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups.
- Represent the organization in government liaison and media relations.
- Resolve conflict situations and provide coaching to staff.
- Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.
- Manage projects and coordinate social services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5 years or more of experience in community development or a related field.
