About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The LogHouse Pub. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and service.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and preparing menus, ensuring dishes meet our quality standards and are presented in an appealing manner.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all customers receive excellent service.
  • Team Management: Recruit, hire, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with extended periods of standing.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
