Job Description

Role Overview

The Financial Business Partner is a key member of the Takeda team, responsible for providing high-quality financial insights, reporting, and analysis to support business units and functions. This role ensures the integrity of business unit and function financials, while also serving as a trusted advisor to business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business strategy.
  • Collaborate with business units and functions to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and ethical requirements.
  • Partner with global and regional stakeholders to drive financial planning and analysis.
  • Act as a solution architect, inspiring innovation and co-creation of financial solutions.
  • Maintain strong controls and compliance practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • CPA or similar designation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of finance experience in a multinational setting, with accounting familiarity and technical fundamentals of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Pharma or healthcare experience a plus.
  • Big 4 audit experience a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and quantitative thinking, paired with Excel modeling skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to present financial data to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to challenge performance, drive fact-based business decisions, and maintain a growth mindset.
  • Excellent business acumen, with ability to see the big picture and understand relevant details.
  • Comfortable in presentations and communication with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build outstanding relationships based on trust and commitment.
  • Ability to operate as a flexible team player.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
