ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial insights, comprehensive reporting, and thorough analysis to support various Business units and functions, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Act as a proactive thought partner to the Business, offering financial guidance on all aspects with a focus on:

  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data for Business Units.
  • Providing decision support through meaningful management reporting and strategic input to enhance performance.
  • Conducting financial analysis and modeling to identify value drivers, risks, and opportunities, and developing P&L forecasts for budgeting and reforecasts.
  • Advising colleagues on financial processes and systems.
  • Offering support and guidance in compliance with financial and ethical standards.
  • Maintaining a growth mindset, challenging the status quo, and sharing best practices with peers.
  • Collaborating on a regional and global scale to enhance reporting and planning processes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partnering with Business Units and Departments as a Trusted Advisor to evaluate business opportunities and risks, develop and implement financial strategies, and secure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Establishing and executing a monthly financial review process for business units, analyzing significant financial variances against plans and expected impacts.
  • Providing strategic financial leadership to assigned Business Units to drive performance and ensure a suitable return on investment.
  • Maintaining the integrity of financial records with full P&L ownership of assigned Business Units, establishing robust processes for financial accuracy.
  • Planning and preparing for periodic financial exercises in coordination with the FP&A lead.
  • Focusing on value addition by influencing decisions, identifying investment opportunities, cost-saving measures, risk mitigation, and forecasting future business outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Global and Regional stakeholders on project rollouts and adopting best practices.
  • Acting as a Solution Architect, with a comprehensive understanding of business operations and interdependencies, to inspire innovative solutions that enhance financial results.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong controls and compliance practices.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller and Compliance Lead in designing and monitoring effective controls, including the development of standard operating procedures as necessary.

IDEAL BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.
  • CPA or similar designation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in finance FP&A/FBP within a multinational environment, with familiarity in accounting principles and GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Experience in Pharma or Healthcare sectors is advantageous.
  • Big 4 audit experience is a plus.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel modeling and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting financial data clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Adept at challenging performance metrics, driving data-driven business decisions, and fostering a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvements through effective persuasion and engagement.
  • Exceptional business acumen, with the ability to see the overall picture while understanding intricate details.
  • Comfortable presenting and communicating with all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in building strong relationships based on trust and reliability.
  • Flexible team player with proven project management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with financial software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools such as SAP, HFM, TM1, or Power BI, while staying updated on emerging digital technologies to optimize financial processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Power BI.
